AKI PrinTaurus Security Suite

Printing infrastructure offering the highest level of security

Printing infrastructure offering the highest level of security with the AKI PrinTaurus Security Suite

Manage the security settings of printers and multifunction devices and ensure that they comply with company policies at all times.

The printers and multifunction devices meet the highest security standards. This is ensured by the AKI PrinTaurus Security Suite, which successfully defends against attacks on the printing infrastructure. The AKI PrinTaurus Security Suite regularly monitors the settings of your device fleet in accordance with security guidelines, and should any deviations occur, the specified settings are automatically reapplied to the devices. Checks on security settings and any deviations from them are logged, so that a report on the security of your printing infrastructure is available at any time.

The NIS2 Directive imposes stringent requirements on organisations’ IT security. It calls for systematic risk management, transparent IT structures and verifiable technical and organisational measures. Furthermore, NIS2 requires clear transparency regarding IT assets and their security status. In view of the expanded management responsibilities under NIS2, the AKI PrinTaurus Security Suite helps organisations to demonstrably fulfil their organisational due diligence obligations and reduce business and liability risks. Documented, reproducible security policies enable better preparation for security incidents and ensure the necessary auditability and verifiability for regulatory authorities. This makes IT security a manageable, transparent and sustainable component of corporate governance.

“The IT department SHOULD regularly check the security settings of printers, photocopiers and multifunction devices and, where necessary, correct them. If an automated monitoring and correction system is available, it SHOULD be used.” This is set out in the IT-Grundschutz module SYS 4.1 for printers, photocopiers and multifunction devices published by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). This requirement is particularly relevant for critical infrastructure organisations (KRITIS), but also applies to public bodies and companies that follow the BSI’s requirements and recommendations.

The AKI PrinTaurus Security Suite simplifies the IT administration of printing systems and ensures compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
